When are 2024 results and ATARs available?

The VCE Results and ATAR Service operates from 7am Thursday 12 December until 5pm Monday 16 December 2024 via the website and mobile app.

Am I able to receive my results using the VCE Results and ATAR Service?

If you have a VCE or scored VCE VET enrolment in at least one Unit 3 and 4 subject in 2024 if registered you will receive your grades and study scores from the VCAA via the VCE Results and ATAR Service. Students who have met the conditions for receiving an ATAR in the current year will also receive ATAR advice from VTAC. Refer to the ATAR explained on the VTAC website for further information about who receives an ATAR and how it is calculated.

What is an ATAR?

The Australian Tertiary Admission Rank, or ATAR, is calculated by VTAC solely for the use of tertiary institutions to compare the overall achievement of students who have completed different combinations of VCE studies. The ATAR is used in all Australian states and territories.

Refer to the ATAR explained on the VTAC website for questions about the ATAR.

What information will be available on the VCE Results and ATAR Service?

The VCAA provides you with the following information:

  • the certificate you have been awarded
  • whether you have been awarded the VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education)
  • whether you have been awarded the VCE (Baccalaureate)
  • whether you have been awarded the VCE Vocational Major (VM).
  • whether you have been awarded the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC)
  • a list of all Year 12 studies you completed in 2024, with your grades and study scores

If you qualify for an ATAR, VTAC provides you with the following information:

  • your ATAR
  • your VTAC scaled study scores.

Only 2024 results are available on all services

How do I register for the Results and ATAR Service?

You will need to create a password by registering at the Results and ATAR website, or using the Results and ATAR app. The password you create will be valid for use in both the app and website.

To register, you will need to provide your name, VCAA student number, date of birth, and an email address. During the registration process you will choose a secure password. This password must be a minimum of 8 characters, and contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one numeral and one special character from the list below:

  • uppercase letter (A-Z)
  • lowercase letter (a-z)
  • numeral (0-9)
  • one of the following special characters ~`!@#$%^&*()--+={[}]|\:;"'<,>.?/*+.

The Results Service password is not the same as your VTAC PIN. Changing your VTAC PIN does not change your Results Service password and vice versa.

What if I'm having trouble registering for the Service?

To successfully register for the Results and ATAR Service, you must enter your name, date of birth, and VCAA student number exactly as entered by your school when you enrolled in the VCE.

Re-enter your details carefully to ensure there are no typographical errors and ensure that your name is divided into first name, middle name, and surname exactly as recorded by your school.

You can contact the VCE Coordinator or Careers Adviser at your school to check the details of your VCE enrolment. You can also contact VTAC for technical assistance on (03) 9926 1020.

What if I don't know my VCAA student number?

If you don't know your VCAA VCE student number, you must contact your school to obtain this information.

What if I forget my password?

You can reset your password by using the “forgot password” link on the login page. You will need to re-enter your personal information, and then reset instructions will be sent to the email address that you provided at the time of registration.

What if I need to change my registered email address?

It is important that you keep your registered email address up to date, as this is used to reset your password if you forget it. To change your email address, log in to the Results and ATAR Service using your VCAA student number and the password that you created.

Are my results secure?

Your results are delivered to you securely through the VCE Results and ATAR Service website and app using the latest security measures. To enhance the security of your results, ensure that your VCAA student number and Results Service password are kept in a safe place. Do not tell anyone else your secure password.

How can I get my results if I am overseas?

You can access your results through the VCE Results and ATAR Service website (resultsandatar.vic.edu.au) and app while you are overseas.

Note: security restrictions may prevent access from outside Australia during the first 15 minutes of the service's operating hours.

Will I receive my results in the mail?

Your VCE Results are sent to the address supplied by your school to the VCAA. Check with your school as to what address they have provided to the VCAA. If the address is not correct, then you will need to check with your post office. However, address changes after 11 November 2024 cannot be accepted by the VCAA and you will need to have your mail redirected to your new address. VCE and VPC certificates are distributed by schools and colleges, rather than mailed with results.

ATAR statements are sent to the address registered with VTAC if you have applied for courses and paid the VTAC course application processing fee. If you have not applied for courses or have not paid the processing fee by 5pm Friday 6 December, and still require a printed ATAR statement, this can be purchased via the VTAC website following the release of results.

You can change your address details in your VTAC account for receipt of an ATAR statement up to the application payment deadline specified on the VTAC website.
